UNSEALED ENGLISH ANTIQUE WINE BOTTLES 17th, 18th AND 19th, CENTURY
Black glass

Iridescent English Onion Glass Wine Bottle c1690

This is a nice English Onion shaped glass wine bottle with a beautiful blue, turquoise and gold iridescent sheen. The base has a large kick-up with a crude pontil mark. The string rim is sharp and typical of English wine bottles of this age.

Condition Report:
I endeavour to always accurately describe any and all damage. Please email me with any questions.
The surface of the bottle is covered with iridescence so the bottle has probably been buried. There are 2 chips to the string rim, one 1.5cm, the other 0.5cm. There are 3 chips near the base of the bottle, the largest is 1cm across. There is some crude lettering scratched on the bottle W R and 2 other indecipherable letters. There is no damage to the neck of the bottle. I have looked very hard and can see no cracks.
